Clean Diesel Initiative

Many businesses and public agencies have partnered with SDEV through the Clean Diesel Initiative by replacing aging diesel engines with lower emission or zero-emission solutions. To date, we have replaced about 100 older diesel vehicles with options that are both better for our fleet partners and the air we breathe. SDEV supports its fleet partners in securing grants and incentives to help make a speedier transition to clean fuels and advanced vehicles possible. Contact our Clean Diesel Initiative Project Manager, Maria, at maria@sdevweb.org to learn more about participation.

Green Business Initiative

SDEV is happy to announce we are working to expand our Healthy Businesses and Institutions sector. In addition to continually growing our Clean Diesel Initiative fleet partnerships, we are building a process to pipeline small to large-scale green initiatives to businesses and institutions in Southwest Detroit. These initiatives will span from green workplace practices to updating HVAC systems in the community, to the installation of vegetative buffers, and beyond! Please contact our Healthy Business and Institution Project Coordinator, Elspeth, at elspeth@sdevweb.org to learn how your organization can become better for the environment on the inside and outside.
