My name is Yahir, I’m a high-school senior at Detroit Cristo Rey who started working at SDEV during the summer of 2019. As a wrestler at my school, I learned how to strive under pressure while giving it my all. I’m more than happy to apply these skills in my role as a garden leader and field supervisor to help those within my community. It’s awesome to watch all the plants as they grow, like the cabbages; my favorite plant. I love seeing all the blooming faces from those who we help out here at SDEV, and I look forward to each day I enter the garden to help create fresh produce for more of our residents!
